Schedule and packet pickup
Bibs are handed out at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th Street. The 2027 schedule lists pickup hours of 1 to 6 p.m. A friend can collect your packet with your check in pass or a copy of your ID.
Course
The 10 miler starts at 12th Street and Pacific Avenue and the 5K at 15th Street and Pacific Avenue. Both are USATF certified and billed as flat and fast. The 10 miler has water about every mile, and the 5K has one water stop near mile 1.5. Walkers are welcome.
Parking and travel
Organizers suggest arriving before 7 a.m. and bringing cash, since many lots take only cash on race day. Bag check accepts only the clear bag from packet pickup, marked with your bib number.
Shirt and medal
Everyone gets a shirt (a tech tank for the 10 miler) and a finisher medal. The post race party at the 13th Street beach access has beer for those 21 and over with an ID check, plus live music. The 2027 swag, music and beer lineups were not yet announced.
Awards
Awards go to the top 3 men and women overall and masters (40 and over) on gun time, and the top 3 in each age group on chip time. There is no ceremony on race day; awards are mailed after results are verified.
Rules and FAQ
The cutoff is 3.5 hours for the 10 miler and 1.5 hours for the 5K, both counted from the start of the last corral. Ten miler runners must be at least 10; children under 10 in the 5K should run with a registered parent. Strollers start in corral 4 or later, and dogs are not allowed.

A one day race at the Virginia Beach oceanfront on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend, run by J&A Racing. The flat, certified 10 mile course passes King Neptune, Rudee Inlet and the Virginia Aquarium before finishing on the boardwalk near the fishing pier, and a shorter 5K starts half an hour earlier.
