General registration is first come first served for anyone 13 or older and stays open until it sells out. Entry is $99 plus processing fees, with a split payment option. There are no refunds or deferrals, except for active duty members on deployment orders. The Youth Run is for ages 12 and under.

Schedule and packet pickup
Bibs are only handed out at the expo on Friday, Oct. 9 and Saturday, Oct. 10, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at The St. James in Springfield, VA (6805 Industrial Rd.). There is no race day pickup. Shirts are collected at separate tables. Free shuttles run from Franconia-Springfield Metro and the Crystal Gateway Marriott.

Wheelchair athletes and Wounded Warriors start at 7:50 a.m., then waves 1 to 10 go off between 8:00 and 8:55 a.m. Runners are seeded into color coded waves by projected finish time and may move back a wave but not forward. The Youth Run starts at noon, after the awards.
Parking and travel
There is no race parking at the Pentagon. Paid parking is at Fashion Centre at Pentagon City (opens 5 a.m.) and free parking at the Crystal City garage on Crystal Drive (opens 6 a.m.). Metro to Pentagon station also works; rideshares drop off at 12th and South Hayes Streets. Route 110 closes 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Awards go to the top 3 men and women overall, top masters, top 3 active duty military, the top 3 in 10 year age groups from 13 to 80 plus, and wheelchair and Wounded Warrior divisions. Overall places use gun time; age groups use net time. Youth Run finishers get a medal.
Rules and FAQ
To get an official time you must hold a 15 minute mile pace, cross the start, 10K and finish mats, and finish within 2 hours 30 minutes. Backpacks, headphones, strollers and pets are banned on the course. Bags go in clear bags at garment check in the Pentagon Metro lower bus terminal.

A 10 mile road race staged at the Pentagon each October since 1985, run by the U.S. Army alongside service members, veterans and their families. The course takes in views of historic Washington, DC landmarks, and proceeds go to Army Family and MWR programs. A 400 meter youth run follows the main race.
