What a typical finish looks like

A typical finisher at a 10K in Utah runs 1:04:02, about 10:18 a mile, based on 21 races with published results. Women typically finish in 1:07:09 and men in 1:00:04.

Light and altitude

Sunrise on race morning is at about 7:26 AM, and the 10K starts at 8:00 AM. The start sits about 4,480 feet above sea level, high enough that most runners from lower ground run noticeably slower.

From the organizers

This Thanksgiving, every step you take helps put food on the table for Utah families.

Right now, 445,000 Utahns are at risk of missing a meal—including 1 in 5 children who don't know where their next meal will come from. Together, we can help change that. Join thousands of runners, walkers, families, and friends at the 21st annual Utah Human Race, one of Utah's largest Thanksgiving Day 5K/10K traditions. Each year, nearly 5,000 participants come together with one purpose: to support Utah Food Bank's mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide.
