Schedule and packet pickup
Every runner picks up a bib, shirt and gear bag in person, with photo ID, at the free expo in Hall C of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center: Thursday, March 18, noon to 7 p.m., and Friday, March 19, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday is usually less crowded.

On Saturday, March 20, the 5K goes off at 7:30 a.m. and the half marathon at 8:00 a.m. A finish line concert runs from about 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Course
The half starts on Constitution Avenue at 14th Street NW. The 5K starts near Pennsylvania Avenue NW by the Capitol, and both races finish at 4th Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Courses may change.
Parking and travel
Metro is the easiest way in. Archives is the closest station to the 5K start and the finish, and the expo is by the Mt. Vernon Square station. Paid parking can be reserved ahead for the expo, the half start and the finish. Reagan National (DCA) is the nearest airport.
Shirt and medal
Entries include a finisher medal, a technical shirt, a gear bag, a custom bib, live bands along the course and the finish festival. Age group awards are shipped to winners after the race.
Rules and FAQ
The half marathon allows 4 hours and the 5K 1 hour. Runners must be at least 12 for the half and 8 for the 5K. Distance changes go by email until 45 days out, then at the expo. No strollers, bikes, skates or dogs on course.

A spring Saturday half marathon and 5K in the capital, timed for cherry blossom season. The half heads past the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington Memorial Bridge, into Rock Creek Park and through Judiciary Square before finishing near the Capitol. The 5K starts and ends by the Capitol.
