Pickup is at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on race day from 2 to 4 p.m. Runners should arrive before 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Packets can be mailed for a $45 fee.

Course
The course
A flat, certified 5 mile route on the oceanfront that starts at 4:30 p.m. Water is at miles 2 and 4, plus a gingerbread cookie stop. Everyone has to be off the boardwalk by 5:45 p.m., and the course limit is 2 hours.
Shirt and medal
Finisher items and party
Every 5 miler gets a shirt and a bottle opener medal. The party runs 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the convention center, and runners 21 and over get beer tickets after an ID check.

Rules
Rudolph's 1K on Friday evening is for ages 12 and under. Dogs are not allowed. Strollers are allowed from corral 3 back if the child is added at registration. Gear check takes only the clear bag given at pickup.
