Runners must collect their own packet in person, with photo ID, at the free expo in the San Diego Convention Center, 111 W. Harbor Dr., Halls F, G and H: Friday, June 4, noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday, June 5, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The 5K starts at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, at Presidents Way and Park Blvd, with its finish festival on Balboa Dr at El Prado. On Sunday, June 6, the marathon and half marathon both go off at 6:15 a.m. from Sixth Ave and Quince St. The finish festival at Waterfront Park runs 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Course
The Sunday courses begin at Sixth Ave and Quince St by Balboa Park and end downtown at Ash St and Union St. The 5K starts at Presidents Way and Park Blvd and finishes on Balboa Dr. The 2027 maps were not yet posted when checked; the site shows earlier maps and notes courses may change.
Parking and travel
San Diego International Airport (SAN) is about ten minutes from downtown. Saturday 5K runners park free at Inspiration Point in Balboa Park until 11 a.m. On Sunday the site suggests parking near the finish and walking under a mile up Sixth Ave to the start; ride share drop off is on Fifth Ave.
Shirt and medal
Entries include a finisher medal, a performance shirt, a gear bag, a custom bib, live bands on course and the finish festival with a concert. Running the Saturday 5K plus the Sunday marathon or half earns a third Remix Challenge medal, picked up at the finish festival.
Rules and FAQ
In 2026 the marathon allowed 7 hours, the half 4 hours and the 5K 1 hour. Marathoners had to pass mile 8.3 (University Ave at Grim Ave) by 9:05 a.m. or be sent onto the half course with a DNF. Minimum ages are 18 for the marathon, 12 for the half and 8 for the 5K. No strollers, bikes or dogs.
