Sunrise on race morning is at about 7:22 AM, and the 100 Mile starts at 5:00 AM.

Fees exclude processing fees. Comparisons use current entry fees and published results from races nearby.

Schedule and packet pickup

Starts and bib pickup

Bibs are handed out Friday, Oct. 16 at Healdsburg Running Company, 333 Center St in Healdsburg. The 100 mile and marathon start at the Lake Sonoma Recreation Area, the 50 mile at The Ranch at Lake Sonoma, and the half at Liberty Glen campground. All races finish at the recreation area.

Course

The course

The 100 mile runs two 50 mile laps, gains about 25,058 ft and has a 36 hour limit, opening with a climb of Pritchett Peaks. The 50 mile starts at South Lake Trailhead, gains about 10,612 ft and has a 16 hour limit. The marathon is the classic lake loop (11 hours); the half runs point to point, mostly downhill.

Parking and travel

Camping and shuttles

Camping on site is free with a form on the race site. After the race, shuttles run from the finish back to the remote start areas.

Rules and FAQ

Crews and pacers

Crews may meet runners at the start/finish, Warm Springs, Liberty Glen and Lone Rock; there are no gas stations near the course. 100 mile runners may have one pacer after mile 50 or after dark. The 50 mile, marathon, half and relays allow no pacers.

About the race

A new fall trail festival at Lake Sonoma in wine country, where the Lake Sonoma 50 Mile has moved and been joined by a 100 miler, a trail marathon, a half and four person relays. Aravaipa Running puts it on with Healdsburg Running Company and Tropical John Medinger, with free camping on site.
