Teams run three trail loops in turn, about 121 miles in all, or roughly 15.1 miles per runner, with 1,237 feet of total climbing. The ranch still runs cattle and goats, so animals may share the trail.

Ragnar Village
Teams camp at the ranch, with an optional extra night on Thursday. Glamping and tent rentals are sold, food trucks are on site, BYOB is allowed and a few showers are available. San Antonio is the closest airport, under an hour away.

Solo options
Runners without a team can enter one of Ragnar's individual races at Trail Texas Hill Country: a single Saturday loop ($40), a 6 hour ultra ($175) or a 24 hour ultra from Friday evening to Saturday ($250), all on the relay loops. Results for the timed races count completed loops.

A Ragnar overnight trail relay at Flat Rock Ranch near Comfort, about an hour from San Antonio. Teams take turns on loops across a working cattle ranch with limestone cliffs, and camp together in a festival village between legs.
