Packets are handed out Friday, October 9, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Road Runner Sports in Tempe Marketplace, 43 S McClintock. On race morning, pickup and late registration open at 6 a.m. at Tempe Beach Park.

Parking and travel
Parking
Free race parking is at the Ash ParkIt lot, 201 S Ash Ave. The park entrance is at the northwest corner of Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway.
Shirt and medal
What entry includes
A tech shirt, a one liter stein, a brat and one beer or other drink (a 21+ wristband and your bib are needed for beer), a post race concert, and free Saturday entry to the Oktoberfest with your bib.

Awards
Division winners in the 5K and 10K get Road Runner Sports gift cards, the top man and woman in each age group get medals, and every 1 mile walker gets a medal.
The cause
Where the money goes
Proceeds support the Tempe Sister Cities high school exchange, the Tempe Ladyhawks softball program, a Frank Kush scholarship fund at ASU, and girls flag football at three Tempe high schools.

About the race
A long running Saturday morning 10K, 5K and 1 mile around Tempe Town Lake that kicks off the Four Peaks Oktoberfest weekend. The flat course starts and finishes at Tempe Beach Park, and proceeds go to local youth programs through the Frank Kush Youth Foundation.
