Schedule and packet pickup
Bibs are handed out on Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the expo inside Union Station, 2501 Wall Avenue, Ogden. A short shakeout run leaves from Fleet Feet Ogden that morning. The site calls the 2027 week schedule tentative.
Course
The full falls roughly 1,100 feet overall. The half begins at the marathon's midpoint, the 8.2 mile covers the last stretch from Ogden Canyon, and the 5K runs along the Ogden River Parkway. There are 16 aid stations with water and Gatorade, and gels are handed out at five of them.
Parking and travel
There is no parking at the start lines, so marathon, half and 8.2 mile runners must ride buses from Washington Boulevard near 25th Street, which load from 4:45 a.m. (5:30 a.m. for the 8.2 mile). A bib is needed to board. The 5K has no bus and starts at 2331 Grant Avenue, near the finish.
Rules and FAQ
The course closes at 2 p.m., seven hours after the start, which works out to a 16 minute mile. Marathoners must pass mile 7 by 9 a.m. and Eden Park by 10:30 a.m. Minimum ages are 16 for the full, 12 for the half and 8.2 mile, and 6 for the 5K.
The cause
The race is run by the GOAL Foundation, a nonprofit that offers free and low cost fitness programs in the Ogden area. Runners can also join the Huntsman Heroes charity team for the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
More from the race
A free community festival runs at the Ogden Municipal Gardens from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with music, food trucks and a kids zone. Drop bags from the full, half and 8.2 mile starts are returned in the Ogden Amphitheater.

The certified course drops from about 5,400 feet in Ogden Valley, loops past Pineview Reservoir and follows the Ogden River down Ogden Canyon to finish on Historic 25th Street, and it is a Boston qualifier. A half, a relay, an 8.2 mile race and a 5K share the finish.
