Schedule and packet pickup
The expo runs Friday, Feb. 12, 2027, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Sloan Park, entering through the Home Plate Gate. Bring photo ID or your confirmation email. Bib mailing is a paid add-on at registration. Kids 1K packets can also be collected on race day, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the kids start.
Course
The marathon loses close to 1,000 feet net and the half about 200 feet; both are USATF certified. The marathon starts on N Ellsworth Road, the half on E McDowell Road, and the 10K at Fitch Park on E 8th St. All three finish at Paseo Lago Vista and N Riverview. Marathon and half runners must finish by 1:03 p.m.
Parking and travel
Park at Riverview Park near the finish. Marathon and 10K runners must take race buses from Sloan Park (marathon 4:00 to 5:00 a.m., 10K 4:45 to 5:45 a.m.). Half runners are not bused: they park at 3260 N 40th St, Mesa, and shuttles bring them back from the finish, 8:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Shirt and medal
Every entrant gets a race shirt (upgrades to long sleeve, tank or tri blend cost extra) and a distance specific medal. Gloves and a mylar blanket are handed out for the cold start. Finishers get post-race food, and those of legal age a free beer. Finishing both the Phoenix and Mesa races earns a Desert Double medal.
Awards
The top 3 men and women in the marathon and half win prize money ($1,000, $500, $150). Age group awards go 3 deep in every distance, collected at the results tent. Overall ceremonies are at 7:30 a.m. (10K), 8:30 a.m. (half) and 9:30 a.m. (marathon). Boston qualifiers get a free BQ luggage tag.
