The 250 is lottery only, drawn each May for the next year; past finishers and core volunteers earn extra tickets and women get a boost. About 475 runners are drawn and 300 go on waitlists, with 3 days to accept an invite. The shorter races use standard registration.

Schedule and packet pickup
Check-in and drop bag drop-off are Saturday, May 1, 1 to 5 p.m. at Deep Canyon Ranch, with a race briefing at 5:30 p.m. There is no packet pickup on race morning; a 4 liter water capacity check and tracker handout run 3:45 to 4:45 a.m. before the start.
Course
About 45% single track, 46% double track and 9% pavement, topping out at about 9,240 ft. There are 21 aid stations and 4 water drops, most with a hot meal. The first crew access point is Crown King at mile 37, and pacers may join from Prescott. Runners must carry a GPS device loaded with the course file.

The 250 starts in one mass wave at 5 a.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2027 and the clock runs continuously through the days and nights that follow. The overall time limit is 125 hours. The finish is at Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff, where a celebration for the last finisher is planned for Friday morning, May 7.

Prices rise in steps before registration closes April 25, 2027 and exclude Arizona and Yavapai County taxes and UltraSignup fees. Entry fees are not refunded; withdrawing earns a partial UltraSignup credit for another Aravaipa race, and entries cannot be transferred or rolled over.
