Solo entry costs $200 plus fees through September 30 and $225 plus fees from October 1 to race day. The relay team division sold out in April; relay entries can still change hands through the site's team transfer tool. No refunds or deferrals, but substitutions are free.

Schedule and packet pickup

Packet pickup and start waves

Pickup runs Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Stone Harbor Resort, 107 N 1st Ave, Sturgeon Bay, and Saturday from 6 to 10 a.m. at the start in Gills Rock. Solo runners go at 6:30 a.m.; relay teams start in waves at 7:30, 8:20, 9:10 and 10:00 a.m., slowest teams first, based on the paces they entered.

Course

The course

All paved roads and open to traffic, with runners mostly facing oncoming cars. The route is split into ten legs of 3 to 7.2 miles with nine self serve aid stations; Little Sister Hill in leg three is the steepest climb. A half way buffet with soup and sandwiches waits at the Juddville exchange near mile 29.

Parking and travel

Solo shuttle and gear

Solo runners can buy a $15 one way coach seat to the start. It loads at Sunset Park in Sturgeon Bay from 4:30 to 4:45 a.m. and stops at Stone Harbor Resort before leaving at 5:00 a.m. Solo runners may also send drop bags to any aid station or the finish.

What entry includes

Each entrant gets a fleece pullover, a finisher medal on a chain, and entry to the finish party tent in Sunset Park, which opens at 3 p.m. with beer, wine, soda and pizza. Guests pay $20 for adults and $10 for ages 7 to 17; awards are at 6:30 p.m.

Rules and FAQ

Time limit and support

The finish closes at 6:30 p.m., a 12 hour limit for solo runners; later finishers get a medal but no official time. Crews may help only inside the aid station areas, pacers are not allowed, and dogs may not run the course. Relay teams must hand off at the marked exchanges and bring their own support vehicle.

A point to point road ultra of about 50.7 miles down the western shore of Door County at peak fall color, from Gills Rock through Ellison Bay, Sister Bay, Ephraim, Fish Creek and Egg Harbor to Sunset Park in Sturgeon Bay. Runners go solo or split the ten legs in relay teams of two to five.
