Course
The course
The 50K runs the 17K loop three times, changing direction each lap, for about 3,876 ft of gain; runners must start the last lap by 1:00 p.m. and finish by 4:00 p.m. The 26K combines the 17K and 9K loops. Aid comes every 2.2 to 5.1 miles and the race is cupless.
Parking and travel
Parking and shuttles
Because of construction on Phillips Rd, 9K and 5K runners must park at Mountain View Church, 4815 W Hunt Hwy in San Tan Valley, and ride a free shuttle, skipping the $10 park fee. 17K runners are asked to park there too.

What runners get
Entry includes a race shirt (guaranteed if ordered by Dec. 13), chip timing, post race food and a finisher award of glassware or a wooden medal.

Crews and pacers
Crews may meet runners only at the start/finish, where 50K and 26K runners can keep a drop bag. Pacers are not allowed.

A January race of Aravaipa Running's Desert Runner Trail Series in San Tan Mountain Regional Park in the Southeast Valley. Rolling singletrack loops tour the foothills of the San Tan and Goldmine ranges among saguaros, with steep rocky stretches on the Goldmine Trail and sandy washes.
