The loops
Teams run three trail loops in turn, about 126.4 miles in all, or roughly 15.8 miles per runner, with 5,248 feet of total climbing. The park sits near sea level, so the loops are gentle.

Every team receives medals, finisher shirts, partner samples and a gift for the captain. Finishing Trail Florida and Suncoast in 2026 earns a double medal.

Solo options
Runners without a team can enter one of Ragnar's individual races at Trail Florida: a single Saturday loop ($40), a 6 hour ultra ($175) or a 24 hour ultra from Friday evening to Saturday ($250), all on the relay loops. Results for the timed races count completed loops.

The last Ragnar trail relay of the season, held in Alafia River State Park about 30 minutes from Tampa. Teams run shaded forest and equestrian trail loops close to sea level and camp in a village with a holiday theme.
