Schedule and packet pickup
Friday, October 30, at Bass River Resort: packet pickup 2 to 6 p.m. (none on race morning), drop bags 2 to 7 p.m., pasta dinner 4 to 6 p.m., and a required runner briefing at 6 p.m. Shuttles leave the resort for the start at 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Awards are Sunday at 2:15 p.m.
Course
After about 3.5 miles on forest roads, the route follows the permanently marked Ozark Trail north past Sutton Bluff, Brooks Creek, Hazel Creek and Berryman Campground. The race adds almost no markings of its own, so runners must follow the fixed OT blazes, many with reflective tape for night travel.
Parking and travel
The resort is east of Steelville off Route 8. A bus seat to the start costs $15 when bought with entry or $25 at pickup; crews can drive runners instead but may not leave cars at the start. Camping and cabins are available at the resort, which charges a parking fee to non-guests.
Awards
Every finisher under 32 hours earns a belt buckle. Plaques go to the top man and woman overall and the top masters (40 and over) man and woman. Entry also includes one ticket to the Friday pasta dinner.
Rules and FAQ
There are 13 aid stations, 5.2 to 9.6 miles apart, with enforced cutoffs from Johnson Hollow (mile 24.6) on; the finish closes at 2 p.m. Sunday, 32 hours after the start. Crews may meet runners only at six listed stations, and one pacer at a time is allowed from Brooks Creek at mile 40.

A point to point trail ultra of about 101 miles on the Ozark Trail through the Mark Twain National Forest in south central Missouri, finishing at Bass River Resort near Steelville. Expect mostly singletrack, leaf covered footing, creek crossings and roughly 12,000 feet of climbing. It is the 2026 Missouri RRCA state ultra championship.
