Pickup is Friday, October 30 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King Street. On race morning, pickup and registration run 6:45 to 7:50 a.m. at the start on Curry Street.

From October 1 to 28 entry is $45 for the 8K and $35 for the 2 mile; at packet pickup and on race day it is $50 and $40. Kids 12 and under pay $10. Walk up entry takes cards only, no cash. The first 300 to register are promised a shirt.

Course
The courses
Both routes start and finish on Curry Street. The 8K climbs west through neighborhoods to Ash Canyon Road and returns via King Street; the 2 mile loops via William, Minnesota and 10th streets. Neither course uses Carson Street, so study the maps.

About the race
The 37th Nevada Day Classic, a Halloween morning 8K and 2 mile run or walk through the historic west side of Carson City ahead of the Nevada Day Parade. Tahoe Mountain Milers organize it, costumes are encouraged, and net proceeds go to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
