Schedule and packet pickup
The 50 miler is Saturday, July 10: bib pickup 5:00 to 5:45 a.m., start 6:00 a.m. On Sunday, July 11, 50K pickup is 6:00 to 6:45 a.m. with a 7:00 start, and 25K pickup is 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. with an 8:00 start. Photo ID is required and there are no early starts.
Parking and travel
From Portland take Highway 26 past Government Camp to Forest Road 42 near mile 66, then drive 10 miles to the ranger station; allow about 1 hour 45 minutes from the airport. Park only on FS 42 south of the station where there are no cones.

Timothy Lake has more than 150 campsites that can be reserved on recreation.gov. Camping is not allowed at the ranger station compound, and the nearest motels are in Government Camp.
Awards
Racers and volunteers get free burgers, beer, cider and chocolate milk. Every finisher gets a pint glass, the top three men, women and nonbinary runners get sponsor awards, and age group awards go three deep.

A Mt. Hood trail race weekend dating to 1999, based at the Clackamas Lake Historic Ranger Station about 20 miles south of the mountain. The 50 miler and 50K run mostly on the shaded Pacific Crest Trail, while the 25K circles Clackamas and Timothy Lakes.
