How fast is it?

Slower than most Ohio trail half marathons

The fastest quarter of the 2026 half marathon field finished under 2:47:49, against 2:23:21 in a typical Ohio trail half marathon, so times here run 17 percent slower.

  • 15K: Slower than most US trail 15Ks. The fastest quarter of the 2026 15K field finished under 2:05:45, against 1:33:44 in a typical US trail 15K, so times here run 34 percent slower.
  • Marathon: Slower than most Ohio trail marathons. The fastest quarter of the 2026 marathon field finished under 5:39:29, against 5:11:56 in a typical Ohio trail marathon, so times here run 9 percent slower.

Compares the fastest quarter of each field, so walkers and first-timers do not skew it. It reflects the course and the field together: a flat course, cool weather, or a competitive crowd all make times faster.

Typical race-day weather

Around April 24 the day usually runs from 43°F at dawn to 63°F in the afternoon, with measurable rain on about 32% of days. Cold snaps dip to 31°F and hot years reach 78°F.

Based on 75 days within a week of the date over the last 5 years, from historical weather for the start area. Not a forecast.
