Course
The course
The 50 mile has about 7,700 ft of gain and the 50K about 5,200 ft, with a 9:15 p.m. overall cutoff. The 50K and 50 mile scramble down boulders in Ford Canyon and need basic navigation skills. One remote stretch runs 8.8 miles without aid.

The start is at the dirt lot at the end of the main park road on the north side. Maricopa County charges $10 per vehicle to enter.
Rules and FAQ
Crews, pacers and drop bags
Crews may meet runners at the start/finish and Goat Camp aid. 50 milers may pick up a pacer after the 50K mark or at Goat Camp (mile 36.9). Drop bags for Goat Camp must be at the start by 6:30 a.m. The race is cupless.
