Packet pickup and starts

Packets can be collected at that day's venue from 5:30 to 6:50 a.m., when race day entry is also taken. Everyone starts at 7:00 a.m. Mountain time; runners in the half or longer who expect to need 6 hours or more may take the 6:00 a.m. early start.

Course

The course

A looped course of smooth asphalt road with little shade. The marathon takes about 14 laps, with roughly 16 feet of climb per lap by the organizer's estimate. One large aid station on the loop serves everything from fruit and sandwiches to sports drink and coffee.

Shirts and medals

Every entrant, at any distance, gets a shirt and a medal set: a starter medal, a year tab and a medal shaped like the state. Those who finish every day of the series earn an extra series medal, and first time half or full marathoners get a special award.

Rules and FAQ

Time limit and rules

There is no time limit for the marathon or shorter races, but everyone must finish at least 30 minutes before the park closes. Walkers are welcome and strollers are allowed; pets are not.
